Property Taxes

Property taxes are the primary source of revenue for Greenfield County, funding essential services such as roads, emergency services, parks, water, and sewer infrastructure. The County's 2026 tax rate is 0.892% of assessed property value.

Buying or Selling Property

If you are buying or selling property in Greenfield County, you may need a Tax Certificate or Letter of Authorization. Your lawyer can request these documents from our Finance Department. Processing time is typically 5–7 business days.

Garbage & Recycling

Greenfield County's waste management services include curbside collection of garbage, recycling (blue box), organics (green bin), and seasonal yard waste. Collection schedules vary by zone — check your collection day using the Waste Calendar tool on our website.

Water & Sewer

The County operates 3 water treatment plants and 4 wastewater treatment facilities serving approximately 62,000 residents on municipal services. Water bills are issued quarterly. For service inquiries, contact Water & Sewer Services at (905) 555-0100 ext. 3100.

Animal Services

All dogs in Greenfield County must be licensed annually. Licences are available online, at the County Service Counter, or at participating pet stores. The County Animal Shelter is located at 45 Service Road and is open Monday to Saturday.
